As a part of Victorian Law Week 2024 at The State Library of Victoria, the VIFM hosted a panel-style event . Titled “What Happened On The Way Home,” the event provided a comprehensive overview of the intricate and challenging process of investigating sexual assaults. The evening aimed to shed light on the critical roles played by forensic medical staff in these investigations and prosecutions.
The session began with a presentation by our Chief Medical Officer, Kean Kuan, who introduced the new model for the Clinical Forensic Medicine side of the VIFM. This new approach is designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of forensic medical examinations and support services.
