World renowned forensic investigator Dr Morris Tidball-Binz joined us as the 2023 guest speaker of the VIFM Graeme Schofield Oration.
As United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Adjunct Clinical Professor in Forensic Medicine, Monash University, Visiting Professor with the Universities of Coimbra, Portugal and Milan, and a member of the directorate of the University of Coimbra Centre for Research and Training in Forensic Science, Human Rights and Humanitarian Action, Dr Tidball-Binz has directed humanitarian rights projects for Amnesty International, the ICRC and many other international organisations.
Dr Tidball-Binz discussed the crucial role of forensic medicine and science in responding to humanitarian events. Held at The National Gallery of Victoria, this event was a fantastic showcase of developments within the field.
