VIFM welcomes The Governor of Victoria
Last Friday we welcomed The Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria and her husband Anthony Howard to the VIFM and CCOV. The Governor, is the Patron for the tenth-anniversary commemorations of the Black Saturday bushfires and she visited the Institute to learn more about our role in this tragic event.
The Governor and her husband met a number of staff and toured the court, the homicide room, the CT scanner, CAE and through to the car park to understand the set-up of the temporary mortuary. Thank you to those staff who assisted with her visit – particularly thanks to Deb Withers for organising the logistics of the morning and to Steve Sammut for taking photos of the event.
