Stephen Leane
Stephen is a former Assistant Commissioner and Chief of Staff with Victoria Police where he served for 39 years. His portfolios included road policing, north west metro region, professional standards command, corporate strategy and governance.
Stephen was also a Board Member and then Chief Executive Officer at the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA), up until 2023.
He has extensive experience in delivering change management programs and a deep understanding of service delivery to the community and across Government. Stephen holds a Law degree and Masters of Education from Monash University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Australian National University. He was admitted to practice as an Australian Lawyer in 2001, is a member of the Adult Parole Board (Victoria) and has a private consultancy practice.
Stephen was awarded the Australia Police Medal (APM) for his service in 2017.
