Neil Robertson PSM

Neil Robertson is a former Executive Director within the Department of Justice, and now a consultant principally in the areas of integrity, governance, legal policy and emergency management.

Neil is a former senior executive at the Department of Justice (now DJCS), where he served for over 20 years, most recently as Executive Director, Criminal Justice Strategy and Coordination, and as CEO for Emergency Management Victoria.

He was formerly Director, Royal Bushfires Commission Coordination, and Director, Criminal Law Policy at the DJCS, and Manager, Executive Support in the Chief Commissioner’s Office at Victoria Police.  

Neil has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Swinburne University of Technology, and Executive Masters in Public Administration from the Australian and New Zealand School of Government. He is also a Fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Program and, from 1993 to 2012, was a Director and Company Secretary of Crime Stoppers Victoria Ltd. Since stepping away from full-time work, Neil has run a private consultancy practice with a focus on integrity, legal policy and emergency management.

Neil was awarded a Public Service Medal in 2011 for outstanding public service and leadership and for exemplary support to the report of the Bushfires Royal Commission.

He also served on the VIFM Council, which was the VIFM’s prior governing body.
