Custodial Services

Forensic Physicians and Medical officers are not involved in providing primary health care services to police detainees or prisoners.   They do provide the following services:-

• Assessment of fitness to be interviewed - Psychiatric Assessments;
• Obtaining biological samples for evidentiary purposes (e.g., blood, hair, urine);
• Clinical examination and injury documentation for evidentiary purposes.
