Organisational Development Section
The Institute's Organisational Development Section co-ordinated and evaluated 71 internal and external quality assurance programs for the Toxicology, Histology and Molecular Biology laboratories as well as for the Donor Tissue Bank of Victoria and Forensic Pathology Division. The section also:
• Prepared 7 in-house quality assurance programs and 25 in-house controls for the Toxicology laboratory.
• Prepared management review reports for all Divisions including a summary and recommendations regarding audit findings, CIRCA's, and quality assurance programs.
• Provided advice and improvement recommendations as well as progress update regarding quality, risk, safety and business improvements issues to the Quality Review Committee. Therapeutic and Goods Administration (TGA) guidelines ensure that all tissue must be assessed for suitability and processed according to strict criteria prior to release for clinical applications.
