The Institute is committed to a quality framework focussing on the needs of the stakeholders. This year saw a number of achievements in this aspect of the Institute's work. The pursuit of appropriate accreditation for key areas, (including NATA and TGA), the introduction of the Business Excellence Framework and the early adoption and adherence to key legislative and regulatory requirements, (such as changes to the Privacy and Medical Records legislation) are evidence of this.

Introduction of the framework into the routine operation of the Institute commenced in 1999. Further integration continued during the year.
