The Library of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine has a specialised collection of books, reports, articles, legislation and videos covering the areas of Forensic Pathology, Clinical Forensic Medicine, Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Dentistry, Medical Law, Medical Ethics, Human Rights, and related topics.

Library Borrowing:

The Institute Library collection is NOT available for students to borrow. However, you may consult any material in the Library during opening hours.

EXCEPTION: Monash University undergraduate students while enrolled in a site-based subject. These students are required to register with the Librarian as library users before borrowing.

Enquiries:

The Library staff may assist with any reasonable, BRIEF reference enquiries, however students are normally expected to find their own material, with minimum Library staff assistance.

Photocopying:

Photocopying is available in the Library at a charge per page. Change is not available.

Hours of Opening:

Student Access: Monday-Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, only when the Librarian is in attendance.

N.B. If you wish to make a special visit to the Library, please phone beforehand to ensure you will have access.
