The Friday 13th April, 2012 VIFM Career Information Afternoon session is fully booked out. We are no longer accepting anymore registrations.
Please note we will be holding the next Career Information session on Friday 28th Septmeber, 2012. Registration forms will be available in June 2012.
Careers Information Afternoons have been introduced at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine in response to the large number of enquiries we receive regarding Work Experience. Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the work carried out at the Institute, we are unable to offer work experience placements for secondary school students. As an alternative VIFM offers secondary school students in years 10, 11 and 12 and those with an interest in forensic science an opportunity to attend a Career Information Afternoon designed to offer an insight into the various career options available in the forensic sciences.
We hold two Career Information Afternoon sessions per year during school holidays. The afternoon commences at 12.30pm and generally concludes by approximately 4.00pm. The sessions are held in the Institute Lecture Theatre. We are based at the Coronial Services Centre – our address is 57-83 Kavanagh St, Southbank. Please note that a tour of the building will not be offered.
Students wishing to attend MUST complete and return this registration form DOWNLOAD HERE to VIFM no less than 1 week prior to the event. We have a very limited number of spaces available so please get your form in early! Please submit only one form per person attending.
Please note due to the high demand for places we do not have seats available for parents/guardians in our lecture theatre.
