The National Coronial Information System (NCIS) is a database which provides a research resource nationally and internationally.
Education & Training
The VIFM provides independent teaching and research in a wide range of forensic medical and scientific disciplines. Optimum levels in these areas are fundamental to VIFM’s credibility in the courts, the justice and health care systems and in the community.
International & Humanitarian Work
Humanitarian work in the aftermath of human induced or natural disasters, has allowed VIFM’s staff to hone and broaden their skills.

The VIFM Library has a focused, comprehensive and unique collection of forensic education resources including books, reports, videos and journals.
Academic Publications
VIFM and the Monash University Department of Forensic Medicine are responsible for a large number of medical and scientific publications each year including our in-house publication,the VIFM Review.
