Career Information Afternoon |
|
Career Information AfternoonsCareer Information Afternoons have been developed at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine in response to the large number of enquiries we receive regarding Work Experience. Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the work carried out at the Institute, we are unable to offer work experience. In response to this, Career Information Afternoons have been developed for High School students in years 10, 11 and 12 to offer them an insight into the various career options in the forensic sciences and information regarding academic requirements to enter into those careers. We hold 2 Career Information Afternoon sessions per year. The afternoon commences at 12.30pm and generally concludes by approximately 4.00pm. It is held here at the Institute in the Lecture Theatre, there is NO tour of the building available. Speakers include a forensic pathologist, forensic toxicologist, forensic odontologist, forensic entomologist, a mortuary technician, a physician from clinical forensic medicine and representative from the Donor Tissue bank of Victoria. Anyone wishing to attend must contact the Institute, as entry will only be permitted to those whose name is on the list. If you are interested in attending, please email jobs@vifm.org or contact us by calling 03 9684 4342.
The Next Career Information Afternoon will be held on Friday 26 September 2008. OR email as an attachment to: jobs@vifm.org
